The things I've learned from being a mother....
It's a high reward job that's like no other
If I tried to write my mum CV
It would make me proud of what I've achieved
Commitment - completely dedicated
Despite lack of sleep or feeling deflated
Creative - Can find something to distract
And make up a game at the drop of a hat
Perceptive - I know when a little one's lying
And now they know there's no point in trying
Multi tasker - housework, family,
it mostly flows fine (!)
I'm mother, wife, daughter, and work full time
Psychic - I know where you've left that sock
And when bedtime is needed without any clock
It's a lot of hardwork and minimal pay
It's emotionally draining, a 12 hour day
But despite all the tantrums, and times of high stress
The cleaning of floors, constant goo on my dress
There's nothing I'd change, so much it has brought us
Just a smile from my son is the best kind of bonus
