I don't want to be
the one that closes the windows,
loads the dishwasher,
the one that works out
what's for dinner all week,
the one that stops tantrums,
catches falling food
so there's less too hoover.
The one that finds
the lost toys under the sofa
and scoops up the Lego
alongside the pieces
of my own broken mind.
